4. Make Space

It’s important to make room in our lives for the things that bring us joy and happiness; not the big things like a fun vacation, but the things we can focus on doing every day. Take time after work to make a great meal that you haven’t had in a long time. Take pleasure in picking out the ingredients you need at the market. Or, take a Saturday afternoon off and curl up on the couch with a book you’ve been meaning to get to. It’s important not to let the every day tasks consume us, then we lose sight of who we are and the things that bring us pleasure.

Putting aside time to do the things that bring us inner joy will go a long way to creating a consciousness of emotional fulfillment which will in turn make you a healthier and happier person.
