Health, Skin Care, Beauty: Facial Fundamentals — part 1.

Oily skin can be a real problem during the summer months. We are hotter, we sweat more, the heat practically makes makeup and lotions melt into our pores. Simply put, it gets nasty! Of course, oily skin and clogged pores can easily lead to blemishes – besides pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads, these things can exacerbate acne to a painful degree. Sometimes, as shallow and Hollywood as it may sound, all you need is a facial – a real facial that actually does something for you, and the best kind of facial is the one you can make at home. The ingredients are healthy, fresh, and completely natural. There are all kinds of different facial masks for all kinds of skin types, but for starters, here is a juice mask which is designed to help oily skin:
You need 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 2 egg whites, 3 teaspoons of honey, 1 cup of strawberries, and 4 drops of any essential oils you like, but only if you want them. Mash and mix the ingredients together, apply it smoothly to your face, and keep it on for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. This is actually a recipe for two masks, so either have a friend or loved one do it with you, keep the rest in the fridge for your next facial, or simply halve the measurements. The reason this mask helps oily skin is because of the natural astringents contained in the lemon and strawberry juices.
